Land Acquisition Manager

SQ Energy GmbH is an emerging international company in the Investment & Renewable Energy sector. As a subsidiary of a Family Office based in Vienna and London, we develop and operate renewable energy projects across various European countries. To strengthen our development team, we are seeking a:

 

LAND ACQUISITION MANAGER (m/f/d)

 

What to expect:
  • Site Identification: Identifying, analyzing, and evaluating suitable sites for photovoltaic, wind, and other renewable energy projects

  • Negotiation Leadership: Independently leading negotiations with landowners, farmers, authorities, and other key stakeholders

  • Contract Management: Negotiating and closing lease, land registry, easement, and option agreements

  • Feasibility Assessment: Reviewing the technical, zoning, and cadastral suitability of potential sites

  • Relationship Management: Cultivating relationships with municipal, provincial, and regional administrations

  • Expert Coordination: Coordinating with legal advisors, notaries, agronomists, and external specialists

  • Market Monitoring: Monitoring tenders and identifying new market opportunities in the real estate sector

  • Networking: Building and maintaining a strategic network within the target regions

  • Pipeline Management: Driving the acquisition pipeline and providing regular reporting to the Executive Board

 

What you should bring:
  • CEducation: Completed vocational training or a degree in Agricultural Sciences, Engineering, Law, Economics, Sales, or a related field (a degree is not mandatory)

  • Experience: Professional experience in renewable energy project development, real estate, land acquisition, or sales (e.g., Sales, Business Development, Key Account Management)

  • Legal Knowledge: Familiarity with Italian spatial planning, cadastral systems, and environmental legislation

  • Communication: Strong negotiation skills and excellent communication abilities

  • Network: An existing professional network in the target region is a distinct advantage

  • Mindset: Analytical thinking, attention to detail, and a proactive, independent work style

  • Mobility: Flexibility and willingness to travel within the target regions; a valid Category B driver’s license is required

  • Languages: Fluency in German and Italian

What you should bring:
  • Completed technical education (technical college, university, or equivalent)

  • Initial experience in project planning and development
